Medical Translation

Medical translation is the term used to denote translating specialized medical and pharmaceutical documents such as:

  • Medical reports
  • Insurance claims, medicals bills and invoices
  • Autopsy and health certificates
  • Patient history records, physicians’ prescriptions
  • Regulatory documents, medical forms, questionnaires etc.

Reputable professional translation companies and translation service providers are aware that, however proficient in a foreign language, a general translator is simply not equipped to produce accurate medical translations. The plain truth of translation is that a text has to be understood before it can be translated. Translation service providers that employ professional translators with both linguistic fluency and the necessary medical expertise to understand the original medical text are rare.

At Capital Typing, all our translators are professionally qualified translators. A number of translators in our Language Translation Services department are certified translators, and most have an expertise in another area such as business translation or medical translation. Our team of highly qualified professional medical translators has medical or pharmaceutical experience or training, or both. To ensure quality translation, a second translator proofreads all language translations.

Our Language Translation Service has provided medical translation to

  • Hospitals & medical clinics
  • Insurance companies and doctors’ offices
  • Patients and their families who needed medical document translations
  • Pharmaceutical companies
  • Medical and surgical device manufacturers

Capital Typing can provide medical translation services in several languages: German to English translation, French to English translation, Spanish to English translation, Portuguese to English translation, Arabic to English translation. We are also able to provide professional translation services from English to any of these languages. Today, the medical profession in the U.S. cannot ignore the growing number of Spanish-speaking patients in the country, and English to Spanish translation of medical labels, for example, is very important.  Inaccurate medical translation (of medical labels for example) could potentially be very dangerous and must be translated by specialized medical translators who are familiar with the highly technical medical or pharmaceutical vocabulary used.

Medical translation is not limited to the translation of documents related to the treatment of patients and document translation for hospital and insurance purposes. The increase in the distribution of drugs and medical devices across borders has created a growing need for translating packaging and medical labels. English language labels must be translated into foreign languages, as they are often not accepted in other countries where specific guidelines concerning the translation of medical labels and other pharmaceutical documents exist.

At Capital Typing, we provide translation services from and into many of the world’s languages, thus helping our clients to communicate globally and to promote their businesses overseas. Our professional medical translators have played a role in helping medical corporations to reach global markets. The globalization of today’s economy has created a need to reach out to a growing number of non-English speakers. Capital Typing’s Language Translation Services department has followed suit, and we can now offer professional medical translation (and interpreters) to and from Arabic, French, Spanish, German and Portuguese.

We can help you with your language translation and interpretation issues. Contact us today.
